Willow and Tara Fan Edit: Restart

I had a catastrophic failure on of my computer's hard drive and I lost everything. I have to start all over again from scratch. This is what I get for not backing up often enough.

The End of Angel

My brother and I went to Baker's Square for breakfast this morning, and we were talking about my future Buffy fan edits. Eventually, we got to talking about the end of Angel. We were talking about how it should end. He came up with the perfect way out of the battle, and then I filled in the rest.

-At the end of Angel we see what's left of the gang in the alley: Angel, Spike, Illyria, and Gunn.
There's a whole horde of demons running at them and Angel says, "Personally, I wanna fight the dragon. Let's go to work!" He swings his sword, and takes down a few of the demons. There's so many he looses track of everyone. He runs up one of the fire escapes, and jumps on the dragon. He starts pummeling it, and finally as it starts to go down there's a bright flash.

-Now we're in the white room. Everyone is there, even Wes, and Gunn. The Conduit appears to them, and basically tells them they fucked up majorly, and that they'll have to deal with the Senior Partners themselves. Then another bright flash.

-Everyone finds themselves in this hell dimension. It's the Christian version of hell. Lots of lava, fire, and screams of eternal torment fill the place. Then there's a booming voice. This voice sounds like a couple of voices edited on top of each other, so it's got an extra level of depth. It addresses itself as the Senior Partners. You don't see them, you just hear them.

-They inform the gang that they're all going to be put in their own personal hell. One which they cannot get out of (Which they of course do, with help from the PTB).

-Angel and Spike are put together for obvious reasons. They end up in Britain chasing after Buffy for all eternity. No matter how close they get, she's just out of reach, and can't even tell they're there. If they stop chasing after her, they're both plagued with visions of Buffy being killed in numerous horrific ways. Eventually with a little help from the PTB, they find out about a portal that's inside the ruins of the Watcher's HQ. They end up in the inner lair of the Senior Partners. It looks very much like the LA branch of Wolfram and Heart.

-Gunn is stuck on the streets, watching his friends die fighting the vampires over and over. No matter how hard he tries to save them they always die, and he starts back at the begining. He survives every attack that's thrown at him. The only way for him to get out is to be killed by one of the vampires. He poofs back into existence in the lair of the Senior Partners with Angel and Spike.

-Wes is stuck inside the Hyperion. All the exits are blocked off, and there's no way into the basement. The only open areas are the many floors above him. In the distance he hears Fred screaming, and being tortured by some unkown thing. He spends his time in hell trying to find her. He opens the door that used to be her room in the hyperion, and is transported to her apartment, and he has to live through her being eaten from the inside out by Illyria one more time. After Fred has died again, Wesley is completely broken, he'll never return again. He's completely insane, just mumbling to himself, and rocking in the corner. He doesn't even notice that he's transported to the same room the others are in. They try to snap him out of it, but he is unresponsive. Eventually he just goes catatonic.

-Illyria ends up as a regular human with none of her super-strength, and has to live a normal life. She can't take it and hangs herself. Also, poofing to where the others are. (I couldn't think of anything better.)

-In this lobby of what looks a lot like the LA branch, a regular looking man in business clothing walks out, and introduces himself as Mr. Suvarta. He tells them that they weren't supposed to escape from where they were put, and that they will be "put down". Two other's join him. All three of them look like normal guys. They inform them that the group will have a way to defend themselves with one "puny" earth weapon of choice. (Those condesending assholes)

-Angel chooses a sword, Wes is still down for the count, Gunn chooses an axe, and Spike and Illyria chose to use their fists. A huge battle ensues. Lots of back and forth. Eventually, Gunn is brutally beaten to death by one of the other two senior partners, Wes is left alone because he poses no threat, Illyria is bloodied, and stumbling, same with Spike. Angel is having this huge battle with Mr. Suvarta. Lots of magic, and flashy stuff. Mr. Suvarta pulls out a stake, and lunges at Angel.

-Just as it looks like Angel is about to be dusted, everything stops. Everyone looks perplexed. We hear a familiar voice come from behind, it's Cordy. She's crouched over by Wes chanting something, and he snaps out of his catatonia.

-After a tearful reunion, she tells them that what they did on earth, and in this dimension to the senior partners has significantly weakened them, and the PTB will deal with them, as in gone forever. She tells them that she's ok, and that someone else is with her. It's Doyle.

-Doyle tells everyone that he and Cordy are the new liasons for the PTB. He also tells them that because of all the good they've done, they each get one wish. It doesn't matter how selfish it may be, they will do it because they all deserve their wildest dreams. Cordy goes onto say that the Shanshu prophecy was wrong, and that both Angel and Spike will both be human again.

-Illyria wishes to be back to her old self, and have her own hell dimension to rule over.

-Gunn asks to live in an alternate dimension where he and Fred can be together, and not have to worry about demons at all. A place where he can just live a normal life.

-Spike chooses to be human of course, and knowing that Buffy doesn't truly love him. He asks that Dru be human, and be normal again. He also asks to live in the 80's with her, and to have him memory wiped of the pain he suffered because of his obsession with Buffy.

-Wes wishes Fred back to life, and they live happily ever after.

-Angel is now human, and just asks for super strength, and speed so he can at least fight. He also asks to be transported to where Buffy is.

-We see different flashes of everyone in their new lives. The last one we see is Angel and Buffy, fighting the good fight. Together at last.

Willow and Tara Fan Edit: Random thoughts

I've been thinking a lot about this edit, and I think I'm gonna make two versions of it. The happy version, and the sad version.

The only difference between the two would be the ending. The happy would end up with Tara not dying, and the whole happily ever after.

I originally intended this thing to be for myself, which right now it mainly will be because I don't know too many people who would want to watch it other than me, and Namtlieu. I'll probably distribute it as a torrent for those interested.

Originally I was just gonna do the sad version, but there are times where I don't want to be emotionally ripped apart, so happy version there will be, if I can make it work.

After I'm done with this edit, I'm gonna do one about Buffy and Angel. Then one all about Blondie Bear.

Willow and Tara Fan Edit 2: Electric Boogaloo

As of 5 minutes ago I just finished the scripting for season 5 of the edit. I'm gonna start editing the pieces together whithin the next couple of days. I might have to go through the script again, and take out some of the unnecesarry scenes. There's so much in there. It'll be much longer than an hour and a half.

With season 4 Tara wasn't much a part of the Scoobies, so I was able to mostly cut out the stuff with them. Now with season 5 she's much more a part of them, so I've had to include other storylines.

Willow and Tara Fan Edit

In my last blog I talked about this fan edit I'm doing with Buffy. It's about Willow and Tara's relationship chronicled from beginning to end.

With that it goes through three seasons of Buffy. As it is right now, It's turning out pretty well. I'm satisfied with what I have so far. I'm a little over a third done with it. I went through all of Season four and picked out all the scenes. Put them together and added a little bit of extra stuff to give it a bit of a story. That way it isn't just random scenes put together.

Right now, I've got an hour and a half of story. I made a whole new opening credit sequence, and a "Previously, on Buffy..." thing to explain a few parts of the story that happened before my edit started.

I'm currently going through all of the eps of season five and marking where the scenes are in each episode, so when I go to edit, I don't need to search for everything. I can just look on my word document and find the times of each scene. Hopefully by the end of the week I'll begin editing season 5.

I'll keep posting updates on here for those who are interested. Hopefully we get some traffic on here so people will actually read what I'm writing, and hopefully they're Buffy fans.

Love

Lately, I've been working on this Buffy fan edit about Willow and Tara. It chronicles their relationship from beginning to end, and then a little after that. As I go through it I keep thinking about love. They had this amazing relationship that lasted through just about everything, until everything was cut short. When someone feels that kind of love for someone, I just can't see how they could survive without. There are many stories you hear about someone who's partner has died, and they themselves die shortly after. It's like their lives couldn't go on and they just stopped working. I wonder if the person had never loved, would they have lived longer?

Love is quite an amazing thing when you think about it. Two people who just need the other like nothing else. One that will always take care of the other, no matter the circumstances. I think of my parents especially. My Mom's been disabled for over 20 years. She'd always been able to do a lot for herself until fairly recently some things changed and now she's been stuck in her bed the past couple of years, and my Dad still takes care of her. He takes care of everything without a second thought. When he's gone for more than a few hours he worries and has to check on her. Most guys would've left at the first sign of trouble. As much as I've bitched about him in the past, he's quite amazing and I can only strive to be someone like him.

I've always thought of it as something that happens to other people or something that's only in the movies. It really does happen in life, but it seems that it's very rare. With the divorce rate as it is my statement seems right even though I wouldn't consider marriage a good barometer of love since it's just religious bullshit (but that's to be saved for another blog).

I've never experienced love. I've never needed someone so bad it hurts or wanted anyone really. I've had crushes, but nothing beyond that. I've liked the idea of the person, but the person as they were was just unappealing to me. Most of the time it really doesn't interest me because the majority of those in "love" just end up hurt, and I've got enough pain in my life that I don't need to tack on more, but as I go through the stuff with Willow and Tara, it makes me want it.

The big problem with this is sorting through all the crazies. Of all of my friend's girlfriend's, and boyfriend's I've only known two that were sane. The rest were all sorts of nuts. A good chunk of the crazy girls were due to feminism and the bullshit they're fed by current feminists. I'm not saying that feminism wasn't necessary in the past, but right now as it stands it certainly isn't required. I will also address the topic of feminism in a much longer, wordier blog. I'm getting off topic here. Back to love. The majority of those "on the prowl" are crazy. Maybe the reason they're not taken is because of the rampant craziness of these particular individuals. It's amazing anyone can find a parter with all the lunatics.

My family is constantly on me about finding someone. Not my parents though, they know my views on it and respect them. It's mainly from those I don't see as often as I do my parents or my aunt. They asked the question why i don't have anyone, and my response has always been, "It costs too much money, and I prefer to spend it on myself." I've seen my friends screwed out of their money countless times, and I'd prefer to keep that down to a minimum. Money tends to screw up everything, but that seems to be my stock answer everytime because I'm not entirely sure what I want.

The whole dating scene is bullshit. It's just too much work for nothing most of the time. I'm not saying that the end goal is always sex, I'm just saying you can't get very far by asking random people out to dinner. It's always way too awkward for either party to get comfortable because they had to dress up to appeal more to the other. When you dress up, you can't get terribly comfortable with someone because you're lying to them. This isn't how you look all the time, and you're expected to be witty and conversational. What if you're not very good at the small talk? You're pretty much screwed.

With this little tirade will of course come the question, if you don't date, how do you meet people? That's easy. Get involved in something. Talk to some people. At least when you both have at least one thing in common you have something to talk about other than small talk.

I got really off topic there. The thing that really kept me going with Buffy was the relationships. They interest me. How the two met, and how things progressed. It was really fun to watch, and hard at the same time when things were falling apart. After all, eventually I'd like to give it all a shot, but now is not the time, but they always say(Who are they that ask these things?), "Love finds you when you least expect it."
